In Southwest Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, a Neighborhood Watch captain named Tyrone found two sheep roaming the streets after having escaped slaughter. A local couple, John and Shenell, corralled the sheep to their front porch and contacted Laurie. Laurie dashed to Philly to bring the sheep to Funny Farm, where they received much needed food and vet care. Named after their Philly rescuers, Shenell and Tyrone now thrive with their sheep and goat family on the farm.
Deb and Sue were brought to Laurie in awful condition from an animal seizure case, when the weight of their coats in summer heat was agonizing. Arriving at the Funny Farm, the girls got a cooling haircut and soon enjoyed sneaky nibbles of bird feed and cuddles with their new family, Shenell and Tyrone.
