Joey

Baby Joey is the newest member on the farm! He arrived in August of this year. He came from a dairy farm and was unable to walk for three days so they were going to euthanize him. Thankfully the workers there fell in love with him and decided to try and save him. They made a promise to him they would find him a home. Through their search they found Laurie and the Funny Farm. Of course, Laurie could not say no to that cute baby face, so Joey came to live with Grandpop T-Bone and Uncle Yogi!

Wilbur

There are over 25 pigs at the Funny Farm, none more famous than Wilbur. Many people get pigs as pets and think they will act like dogs and are disappointed to find out they do not stay small and there is no such thing as a tea-cup pigs or mini-pigs. Pigs never stay small. Wilbur was found wandering the woods alone and into some busy streets.  Wilbur was lucky to have found the Funny Farm. People from all walks of life love to see Wilbur and learn about pigs in general.

Freckles

Meet Freckles, one of our newest additions at the Funny Farm, who joined us in 2024! She began her journey as a house chicken and is now happily adapting to life on the farm with her own flock. One thing is for sure: Freckles absolutely loves the human visitors, and the Funny Farm has plenty of affection to share!

Just like people, chickens have unique personalities—some are curious and friendly, while others can be a bit shy. Freckles is quite outgoing with her human friends, though she tends to be a little more reserved around her feathered companions. When she isn’t socializing, this beautiful hen keeps busy laying eggs. Did you know that a healthy hen can produce anywhere from 250 to 300 eggs a year? That’s about 5 to 6 eggs a week! It’s truly impressive how productive these lovely ladies can be!

Hollywood

A young goat came to the Funny Farm a few years ago from a family who could no longer care for him. When he arrived, Laurie was filming a TV segment and each time they tried to film a new animal this goat would jump in the shot! After many tries at filming, they embraced his need to be a star and named him Hollywood! Hollywood lives in the barn and enjoys hanging out with his pals there. He loves sunbathing and you can find him lying near Wilbur’s pig pen soaking the sunup on warm days!

Miss Kitty

Miss Kitty the pig came to live on the farm in 2022. Kitty was raised in a condominium and quickly outgrew her living quarters. Her owners called Laurie and explained they loved her very much but realized a condo was no place for a pig. Laurie agreed to take her and now Miss Kitty loves free roaming the farm and playing with her friends. You will often see her sniffing out bird food, napping in the sun or playing with her favorite ball.

Debbie De Goose

Debbie De Goose became an international star when she wrote her own stories of hopeless love. Based on her real behavior, her stories became so popular that news stations came to film her. She was found as a young 2-day-old gosling all alone. An elderly woman fed her and raised her for 3 months on her lap. Sadly, the woman passed away and her family brought her to the Funny Farm knowing she would never survive on her own.

Debbie fell in love with the UPS man she dubbed, “Dreamy Stevie” because he had a smile bright enough to light up an entire chicken coop! She would never let him leave and would tell him story after story until he would pick her up and hold her in his arms.

Debbie De Goose would wait for hours and hours until Dreamy Stevie would come. The story went viral and was seen on news stations all around the country. Soon, UPS would frown on Debbie being picked up as they have a no holding animals’ policy. A few years later, she would meet a wild goose named Henry and they fell in love. Neither of them like other geese. Henry was good at listening and laughed at her stories no matter how many times he’s heard them! It is rare to see Debbie without Henry.
